At C.A.R.E. Complex, we believe that homelessness is not a permanent situation. Every day, we work hand-in-hand with those we serve, empowering them to take the steps necessary to transition out of homelessness and into stability and independence. Our services range from housing assistance and employment readiness to basic needs like hygiene products and access to clean water, helping our clients regain the dignity and hope that every human being deserves.

Ending Homelessness, One Step at a Time
As a Southern Nevada-based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, C.A.R.E. Complex is fully committed to fostering responsibility, accountability, and self-reliance in every individual who walks through our doors. Our mission is to provide the critical resources and support that help people end their experience of homelessness, not just temporarily but permanently.
We are a fully inclusive organization, welcoming everyone who needs our help. Whether someone needs assistance with housing, employment, or simply a place to get their mail or store their belongings, we are here to offer a hand up, not a handout. Through our programs, we give people the tools they need to stand on their own feet.

This July, we are proud to spotlight a partner whose passion, generosity, and tenacity have touched the lives of hundreds every single week, Barbara and the incredible team at Poker Gives.
Barbara’s journey began in 2013, when she brought Santa Claus to The Shade Tree to ensure every woman and child received a holiday gift. When others paused during the 2020 pandemic, she pressed on, rallying support through social media, showing up with food, and building a team that hasn’t stopped serving since.
When challenges arose and street service became restricted, Barbara and her team found a new home at the CARE Complex. We’ve been honored to share our space with them and support their vital work ever since.Thanks to Barbara’s leadership and Poker Gives’ commitment, what began as a grassroots act of service has grown into a Monday tradition that now nourishes over 600 meals each week. With the help of devoted volunteers and generous business partners like Olive Garden, Chick-Fil-A, McDonald’s, Parsley Mediterranean Grill, Whole Foods, along with many others and several local food banks, this team brings not just meals, but hope and nourishment, to those in need.
Barbara and Poker Gives, thank you for your compassion, your consistency, and your heart. Your presence strengthens the CARE Complex community in every way.
